Natural, Organic Store Opens in Nyack

Nettle & Hive, a natural, organic homegoods store, recently opened in Nyack. The store features nontoxic household items, as well as products for moms and children.

Nettle & Hive, a natural store geared toward families, opened in Nyack on Nov. 28. The store sells natural, organic, and handmade goods.

Owner Michelle Bernadi moved to Nyack nearly a year ago and noticed there weren’t any stores that sold items such as biodegradable diapers or non-plastic toys. “I was looking for a mommy-and-me type of store but didn’t find it. [People] agreed that the area was lacking, so we decided to open a store,” she says.

Although the store sells items for babies and moms such as teething necklaces, prenatal and postnatal vitamins, and nursing bras, Nettle & Hive also sells items for the household including toxin-free cleaners, the plastic wrap alternative Abeego, and an on-the-go coffee brewing device.
