Spectrum is Offering Free Broadband and WiFi for 60 Days

Families with grade school aged children and college students may be eligible for free broadband and wifi.

Now more than ever, with so many American families transitioning to online schooling and remote working as a result of COVID-19, high speed broadband is an important resource in every household. As of yesterday, Charter will offer free Spectrum broadband and Wi-Fi for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription. Some low-income households without school-aged children may also be eligible for Spectrum Internet Assist, a low-cost broadband program delivering speeds of 30 Mbps.

Charter will also open Wi-Fi hotspots across its footprint for public use and will connect with school districts to ensure local communities are aware of these tools to help students learn remotely.

Broadband internet access not only allows students to learn online and businesses to work remotely, but it also allows Americans to stay engaged and connected with family and friends, which is crucial at an unprecedented time like this.

Families with K-12 students and/or college students will be eligible for a subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps. Installation fees will be waived for new student households. To enroll or for more information, call 844-488-8395.
