Sterling Optical of Nanuet Under New Ownership

Sterling Optical, which has new owners, expanded its selection of glasses options for children in Nanuet.

New owners, opticians Kanela and Nick Siskos, bring nearly 30 years of experience in the field to Sterling Optical of Nanuet. In addition to store renovations, such as the redesigned storefront and window displays, the new owners have expanded the shop’s collection of children’s specialty eyewear and contact lenses.

Sterling Optical carries hard-fit frames that the average eye-store does not carry, such as hard-to-fit petite and extra-wide specialty frames. For very young children and babies, Sterling Optical offers Miraflex frames, designed in Italy, which are extremely durable and hypoallergenic, while being free of metal, latex, and hard plastic parts.

Sterling Optical is one-stop-shop for the entire family’s vision needs, offering eye exams with optometrists, contacts and frame fittings, and advice on lenses. With high-end designer brands, such as French-made Lafont, Sterling Optical “aims to bring Manhattan-styles to Rockland County at affordable prices,” Kanela says. Special discount offers often run, and Sterling Optical also accepts most insurance plans.

Sterling Optical is open 6 days a week, from 10am-7pm on Mondays and Thursdays, 10am-6pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 10am-5pm on Saturdays, and is closed on Sundays.
