Bring the kids out for fun and informal Spanish with Karina Naulaguari! Using the Montessori approach children from 6 months to 6 years old will learn phonetics, the alphabet and sounds in a fun and dynamic way, learning through play and supporting each other. Ages 6 months to 6 years (the older kids help the younger ones!) Drop in welcome (venmo @Karina-Naulaguari on the day) Bring a blanket to get cozy for activities on the floor.

The Roller Wave

WHAT:

Skate your way to family fun at this new pop-up roller skating rink!  The Roller Wave will offer fun for the whole family, paying homage to ‘old school’ establishments while infusing exciting new elements such as live music from boundary-pushing DJs and performers, delicious food and beverage offerings, a live podcast space,  VIP section and arcade. The 9,000 square-foot rink within the massive 24,000 square-foot space will offer additional family programming, skating lessons, wellness events, and more.

Wednesday and Thursday from 12-10pm, Friday through Sunday from 11am-2am

WANT TO GO? Tickets start at $19.50 for adults plus a $10 skate rental fee, and $14.50 for children and kids plus a $5 skate rental fee.

NYRR Open Run: Canarsie Park FREE

WHAT:

Get moving with NYRR Open Run, free weekly fun runs and walks in neighborhood parks across all five boroughs including Canarsie Park. Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome, as well as babies in strollers and dogs too! Meet new friends and stay active with the whole family by simply registering on nyrr.org/openrun.

Esencial

WHAT:

Acclaimed Spanish cirque company Vaivén Circo invites young minds to join them on an adventure of imagination. Five performers leap, dive, dance, and juggle through a puzzle-like world of pillars and arches that constantly unfolds into new possibilities. With infectious energy and humor, they use world-class acrobatics to create a mesmerizing story of collaboration and creative problem-solving.

Sensory-Friendly Performance: On Sunday, March 26 at 2pm, Esencial will be modified to better support the needs and enjoyment of audience members with cognitive and/or emotional disabilities. Modifications include the elimination of blackouts and sudden theatrical cues, maintaining moderate house lighting through the performance, and lowering the overall volume. Audience vocalization and movement is allowed at all times. Patrons may exit and enter freely, with the option to view a live-feed of the show in a separate, relaxed environment.
