WHAT: Figure drawing workshop for the whole family using a live monster as a model! In Artuta's first-ever in-person class, kids and their families are invited to join instructors Joan and Kosuke in Prospect Park for still life drawing using a real, live monster as a model! In this one hour workshop, as the monster holds a variety of fun and not-too-scary poses, Artuta instructors will guide your child through their drawing, offering one-on-one tips and encouraging experimentation. They'll bring paper and pens–and the monster– and, afterward, drawings will be photographed and uploaded to the Artuta Online Gallery so everyone can see! Instructors Kosuke Kawahara, Joan Hacker. Suggested Materials Paper, colored pencils, pens any other drawing materials* *They’ll provide paper and pens and you are welcome to bring your own as well.
