2016's Top Baby Names According to BabyCenter.com Are...

BabyCenter.com polled its users and these are the top baby names of 2016...

BabyCenter.com, which provides parents with information, advice from peers, and support, asked its users to share the names they chose for their infants. Nearly 400,000 new parents responded, and BabyCenter compiled a list of the top 100 names for boys and the top 100 names for girls who were born in 2016—minus, of course, those December babies who are yet to be born.

The top 10 names for boys born in 2016 are, drumroll please…

  1. Jackson
  2. Aiden
  3. Lucas
  4. Liam
  5. Noah
  6. Ethan
  7. Mason
  8. Caden
  9. Oliver
  10. Elijah

Other boy’s names that made the top-100 list include Logan, Caleb, Sebastian, Cameron, Levi, Hunter, Adam, Ezra, Miles, and Zane.

The top 10 names for girls born in 20016 are, again drumroll please…

  1. Sophia
  2. Emma
  3. Olivia
  4. Ava
  5. Mia
  6. Isabella
  7. Riley
  8. Aria
  9. Zoe
  10. Charlotte

Other girl’s names that made the top-100 list include Chloe, Harper, Nora, Peyton, Skyler, Stella, Sophie, Sadie, Bailey, and Luna.

You’ll notice that this list mostly contains traditional spellings. BabyCenter.com combines names that sound the same but have multiple spellings, for example Sophia and Sofia or Jackson and Jaxon. So keep an eye out for the official U.S. government list, which is typically released a few months into the new year, to see if your baby’s unique spelling made the list.
