Staten Island FunPark to Open in April

Staten Island FunPark to Open in April

Staten Island Go Karts will be reopening as Staten Island FunPark on Saturday, April 1.

The name change came about to reflect the park’s improvements and new attractions that will open in the future, according to a press release from NY Carousel Entertainment—the park’s operating company. Visitors can expect to see new additions to the family fun park, including more instant win games and a food area called 19th Hole Snack Bar, with items like Icees and ice cream.

Renovations to the amusement park began when it closed for the winter, but new attractions and games will continue to be rolled out through the years to come. The rebranding will be seen park-wide, including a new logo featuring a beaver mascot.

Online redesign and accesibility improvements are also being made to the website, online party/event reservation system, and social media. "The experience is going to be completely different," says Natascha Guerrero, marketing and PR associate for NY Carousel Entertainment.

“We are extremely pleased and proud to be awarded this opportunity to reinvigorate Staten Island FunPark and create a first-class family entertainment destination for the borough of Staten Island and the residents of New York City,” David Galst, senior vice present of operations of NY Carousel Entertainment, said in a statement.

Staten Island FunPark will maintain the original attractions at Staten Island Go Karts, such as the Staten Island Raceway, an 800-foot-long go-kart road course; FunPark Minigolf with 18 holes; and outdoor batting cages with softball and baseball pitching for all levels.

The park will also continue to offer birthday party packages and special rates for groups, company outings, reunions, and camps.

Staten Island FunPark is located at 215 Schmidts Lane in Manor Heights/Castleton Corners and opens on April 1. Visit sifunpark.com for more information, including details on discounts and special offers.
