    Now more than ever, grocery shopping al fresco is the ideal, peaceful shopping experience. Not to mention, the kids can learn about what types of produce are in season and see get a sense of where their food is actually sourced. These farmers' markets in NYC and the surrounding counties have everything you'll want to buy local from fruits and vegetables to locally raised meat and dairy, handmade soaps, candles, and jewelry.     Down To Earth Farmers' Markets

    What you need to know: All of the Down to Earth Markets are offering online order and pickup through Source What’s Good, which works based on location, so you can select the market closest to you.
    From baked goods to seafood, olive oil, cheese, chutney, and more, Down to Earth Farmers' Markets offer visitors a variety of locally made items from vendors in and around the area. Though the Mamaroneck and Ossining locations are open throughout the winter, there are locations in Larchmont, New Rochelle, and Rye that return during the warmer months.

    Hastings Farmers' Market

    Temporarily located in the commuter parking lot across from the Hastings-on-Hudson Metro-North station to maximize social distancing.
    Hours: Through May 15: Every other Saturday, 9:30am-1pm

    Enjoy a beautiful view of the Hudson River while listening to live music as you stroll through vendors and booths full of local fare such as meats, coffee, cheese, produce, and European-style goods.

    Irvington Farmers' Market

    Main Street School Parking Lot, 101 Main St., Irvington
    Hours: Through May 23: Every other Sunday, 9:30am-1pm
    What you need to know: All vendors and shoppers must wear face masks or face coverings at all times; vendors’ tents will be spaced 10 feet apart; shoppers will not be allowed to touch produce and most items will be pre-bagged; credit card and Venmo payments are preferred (if you must pay with cash, please bring exact change); no sampling is allowed; shoppers are encouraged to pre-order as much as possible; and single-use plastic bags are encouraged during the pandemic.
    All items sold at this farmer's market come from vendors located within 200 miles of the area, selling produce, baked goods, cheeses, pickles, plants, and more.

    Pleasantville Farmers' Market

    What you need to know: You can shop online at the Pleasantville Farmers’ Market Online from Tuesdays at 7pm to Thursdays at 7pm before picking up at the market on Saturdays.     The largest farmers' market in Westchester County, Pleasantville Farmers' Market is located in the historical walking village. Run by nonprofit organization Foodchester Inc., the market’s goals are to support local foods and agriculture. Find seasonal produce, meats, cheeses, breads, prepared foods, and more.

    Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers' Market

    Temporarily relocating to the Tarrytown Rec Center lot

    Hours: Beginning May 2: Sundays 9am-2pm
    What you need to know: Vendors will now be spread further apart. Only one customer is allowed in each booth at a time. Please practice social distancing while waiting in line to shop with a vendor. Everyone must wear a mask when you come to shop and work at the market. Gloves must be worn by our vendors. Some vendors may not accept cash: please bring a credit card with you.
    Enjoy a selection of locally sourced goods such as produce, honey, bread, baked goods, plants, and more. The market moves outdoors to the Jeanne Garant Harborfront Park from May through November.
