Bear Brook Dental Care Opens in Montvale, NJ

Bear Brook Dental Care, owned by brothers Tommy Lee, D.M.D., and Kiwon Lee, D.D.S., officially opened on March 20. In addition to providing comprehensive dental care for the whole family, a variety of amenities are offered at the practice to help make patients feel more at ease, including spa services, coffee and other drinks from a beverage bar and a separate play area that helps children relax and have fun. Called the Kids Zone, the area has toys, children's books and movies, and video games designed to keep children entertained. 

Dr. Tommy, as he is affectionately known by his patients, specializes in pediatric dental care, covering ages newborn to 21. Preventative and restoration care, including filling cavities, and gum treatments are among the services he offers. He also works with young patients who have special medical needs, whether it be developmental or physical disorders. Dr. Tommy received his dental degree from Boston University and completed his pediatric dental specialty training at the Yale School of Medicine.

Lee's brother, Kiwon, received a degree in dental surgery from the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and specializes in adult dental care. He also works with patients who have sleep apnea and other sleeping disorders. He is a diplomate of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, an organization for dentists who treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy.

The Lee brothers are excited about their new practice and looking forward to helping people of all ages in the Montvale-Rockland County region with their dental needs.

“Our goal is to provide comprehensive dental treatment from toddlerhood through adulthood,” Dr. Tommy says. “So when a patient chooses us for their dental homes, even from the infancy period, they won't need to go to other practices as they grow up. So we really care about our relationship with our patients.”

Caring for their patients doesn't end when they leave the office for the day. Dr. Tommy works to raise awareness about oral hygiene by visiting schools within the community, talking with students about the importance of brushing and other means of preventative care. His brother often visits underserved areas of the world where people might not be getting the dental care they need.
