SPECIAL NEEDS
Camp Kipanga, Camp Katikati, and Total Teen Experience are unique summer camps for children ages 5-21 who struggle with peer relationships, impulse control, fitting in with others, coping with emotions, and related difficulties. We offer children with social challenges the extra support they need to have a successful summer camp experience. We offer a traditional camp environment, including daily swim and weekly trips, along with athletics, arts, and sciences. Our staff is energetic and compassionate. Social success starts here!

Meet the Director
Directing Camps Kipanga, Katikati, and Total Teen Experience has been the perfect fit for Michele. She created TTE in 2011 and followed with Camps Kipanga and Katikati in 2014. Michele spent her childhood summers at both day and sleepaway camp, as a camper and a staff member. Following undergraduate and graduate degrees, Michele has worked in clinical settings, focusing on children and adolescents with social needs. With a strong background in clinical counseling, Michele’s many years as a therapist working with children and families gives our camp the opportunity to utilize her expertise with both the staff and campers.
