Children's Shakespeare Theatre presents: A Midsummer Night's Dream

WHEN: May. 20 - 22, Friday and Saturday, 7pm; Sunday, 2pm
WHERE: Palisades Presbyterian Church, 117 Washington Spring Road, Palisades, NY
AGES: 5 and older
WHAT:

Children’s Shakespeare Theatre will hold both indoor and outdoor performances of the next production in its Season of the Supernatural, A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Presented by a mixed company of CST’s Knaves and Rogues -- youth ages 9 to 17—this production will perform indoors at CST’s traditional home, Palisades Presbyterian Church, Friday and Saturday evenings, and outdoors in a special partnership with Rockland Center for the Arts, Sunday. After an extremely successful production of Hamlet in March, Children’s Shakespeare Company is ready to take wing with fairies and lovers and fools inhabiting the alcoves and balconies of Palisades Presbyterian and the wooded paths and beautiful sculpture gardens of Rockland Center for the Arts. Spectators are invited to picnic on the grounds before the outdoor performance. Sunaya Mueller (playing Bottom), and Kiera McDermott (Helena), local high school seniors, will be giving their farewell CST performances. In this, the twenty-second season, the Board of CST, along with Artistic Director Brady Amoonclark, have created strict COVID protocols including requiring full vaccination and testing of performers and staff, special HEPA filters in the rehearsal room and fitted masks for all participants. These protocols, though difficult, have allowed CST’s Hamlet to perform unmasked before an exuberant and appreciative audience.
