    May 8 and 12

    Mommy Tales

    At Mother’s Day Story Time at Barnes & Noble in Lake Grove, listen to stories about moms and make yours a craft. FREE!

     

    May 10 and 13

    Tea Times Two

    Bring the family to a Mother’s Day Tea Party at What's Cooking? in Oyster Bay, where kids and moms can make strawberry-stuffed French toast, teapot- and heart-shaped cookies, chocolate-dipped strawberries, long-stemmed chocolate roses and flowers, and more.

     

    One party is never enough, so check out The Cupcake Corner in Garden City’s Mother’s Day Tea Party where you can enjoy elegant teas along with filled crepes, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and homemade preserves, fresh fruit, and more.

     

    May 10

    Create a Card

    Teens and tweens can stop by the Hempstead Library to make Mom a Mosaic Letter for Mother’s Day using letter stencils, glass tiles, beads, buttons, and stones.

     

    May 12

    Yoga Together



    Take mom for a relaxing stretch at Mother & Daughter Yoga by the Sea. Bring a mat/towel and enjoy the view of the harbor as you learn yoga poses inspired by the water, outside the Cold Spring Harbor Whaling Museum.

     

    May 13

    Celebrate with Song

    Belt out a song in honor of Mom at Mother’s Day Karaoke with DJ Phil at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead. FREE!

     

    Aromatherapy

    Treat Mom to the sweet aroma of blooming blossoms on a Lilac Walk with the Old Westbury Gardens’ docent and master gardener. In honor of Mother’s Day, all ladies 18 and older will receive a free lavender plant today.
